Orientation Program for 16th Batch B. Pharmacy Students

Venue: Yellow Pagoda Hotel, Jamal
The orientation for the 16th batch of B.Pharmacy 1st-year students was held at Yellow Pagoda Hotel, Jamal, on the 5th floor, in Sasikala Hall. Students began arriving between 8:30 and 9:00 AM and were greeted with tea, coffee, cookies, and sandwiches.
The program began at 9:00 AM with the arrival of important guests, including:

The event started with a Khada (scarf) distribution ceremony to honor the guests. Dr. Savyata Gautam, the HOD of B.Pharmacy, gave a warm and motivating speech to welcome the students.
Dr. Madhav Prasad Baral and Mr. Prajwal Jung Pandey lit lamps (PANAS) to symbolize new beginnings. The National Anthem was played to bring everyone together. Then, Anjali and her group performed a lively welcome dance at 9:40 AM, making the event more energetic.
Dr. Madhav Prasad Baral handed Khadas to the new students, and Dr. Savyata Gautam introduced the faculty and staff. Mr. Nava Raj Heka helped with the introductions.
At 10:10 AM, Mr. Afjal Khan, a recent graduate, shared his experience at NAMCAL and encouraged students to make the most of their education. Mr. Anjani Kumar Shah, a 3rd-year student, also gave advice, reminding students to ask questions and seek help when needed.
Ms. Pranita Sharma Baral gave an inspiring speech, telling students that NAMCAL is like an ocean where they can gain endless knowledge. She encouraged them to focus on their studies and use their time well at college.
Dr. Robash Kusam Subedi spoke about the many career opportunities available for pharmacy graduates in fields like research, development, education, and more. He advised students to explore different paths and develop a wide range of skills.
Mr. Prajwal Jung Pandey, the chief guest, gave the keynote speech, stressing the importance of mastering core pharmacy subjects and gaining hands-on experience. He encouraged students to look into fields like research, clinical trials, and entrepreneurship, while staying updated on industry trends. He also emphasized ethics, empathy, and patient care in pharmacy.
Tirshana and her group performed another dance, which was enjoyed by the audience.
Ms. Sangita Shakya explained the course syllabus in detail, helping students understand what to expect in their studies.
Dr. Madhav Prasad Baral gave tokens of appreciation to Dr. Robash Kusam Subedi and Mr. Prajwal Jung Pandey for their contributions. He also delivered a motivating speech, urging students to stay focused on their studies and contribute to the development of Nepal.
Mr. Pradeep Pokhrel, the IT officer, demonstrated the eSchool app, showing students how to access their attendance, fee status, and results easily.
The program concluded at 12:10 PM, followed by a photo session. A delicious lunch was served at 12:30 PM, with a tasty dessert to end the meal. After lunch, students left the event at 1:30 PM, feeling excited and ready for their academic journey ahead.
The orientation was well-organized, informative, and engaging, providing students with valuable insights and motivation for their years at NAMCAL.
