Schedule for CMAT, BCA, BIT & BSc CSIT (2026)
If you've just finished your +2 and you're planning to apply for any Tribhuvan University undergraduate program this year, mark your calendar — the application window for CMAT opens on 15 June 2026 (Asadh 01, 2083). Other TU entrance applications follow within the next six weeks, and the entire entrance season closes by mid-August.
Missing a deadline this year means waiting a full year for the next cycle. Here's everything you need to know in one place.

What to Do This Week
If you're planning to take one or more of these entrance exams, here's your immediate action checklist:
1. Pick your exam(s). Many students apply for multiple — CMAT plus BCA, or BCA plus CSIT — to keep options open. Note that BCA (16 Aug), BIT (15 Aug), and CSIT (9 Aug) exam dates do not clash, so you can sit for all three if you're eligible.
2. Check your eligibility carefully. BIT and CSIT specifically require Math and Computer/Physics with 100 marks each. If you're missing these, focus on CMAT and BCA instead.
3. Gather your documents. You'll typically need your +2 transcript, character certificate, citizenship/passport copy, and recent passport-size photos.
4. Note the late-application windows. BCA, BIT, and CSIT allow late applications with double the fee. CMAT does not — its deadline is firm.
5. Start preparing now. With CMAT just under two months away and CSIT roughly the same, structured preparation starting now gives you a meaningful edge over students who wait.
Key Reminders
- All exams begin at 8:00 AM sharp — plan your travel and accommodation accordingly, especially if your exam center is outside Kathmandu Valley.
- Application fees are non-refundable. Apply only after confirming your eligibility.
- Exam centers will be announced later. Keep checking the official TU portals and your college's admissions desk for updates.
- CMAT covers seven programs. A single CMAT score opens the door to BBM, BBA, BBA-F, BITM, BPA, BHM, and BTTM — making it one of the highest-leverage entrance exams in Nepal.
Final Word
The next six weeks decide where you'll spend the next four years. The exam dates are tight, the application windows overlap, and a single missed deadline can cost you an academic year. Print this schedule, save it on your phone, and share it with classmates who haven't decided yet.
